Ladies Tee Talk

Congratulation to Edwina McKay, the 2010
Overall Winner of the HLGA Senior Club Championship with a two-round
score of 166 played on August 11th & 12th. The committee members: Kay
Book, Connie Glynn, and Susan Seifert did a great job organizing the
2-day tournament! Special thanks to Connie Glynn who opened her home for
the Tuesday evening social preceding the tournament.
Happy that Mother Nature blessed us with such
nice weather to play golf in the month of August.
Two ladies made a Hole -In One the past month.
Shirley Chetwood on July 29th, and Shawna Ianson on August 7th, both on
Hole #8. Congratulations Ladies!
Vice President Pam Powell was awarded the
"Green Eggs and Ham" Award for her continued hard work and dedication
during her recuperation. She not only kept up her responsibilities, but
took on additional tasks.
The Skunk Tournament Men vs. Ladies was a
success, with lots of run reported by many...and the Ladies Won!!
Update: "Beat the President" on July 8th.
The Presidents team: Ginny Gribben, Cathy Hull, Annie Fife-Fahey and
Marty Pearson were UNBEATEN (by Net Score) this year by the field.
Congratulations Ladies!!!
Take note that our final Eclectic of the season
has been moved up this year to Thursday, September 23rd, due to greens
aerification beginning September 27th.
The Club Championship will be held over Labor
Day weekend, September 4-6. Championship players have already received
their invitations.
Signups for the HLGA Match Play Championship on
September 4th, 5th & 6th close at 5 pm September 2nd. All HLGA players
are eligible to play. Nine-hole matches will follow the Men's and HLGA
Championship rounds. Flights are based on player handicaps. Please do
not wait until the last moment to sign up. Match play requires flight of
8 players, so once we fill flights of 8, remaining players will be
placed on a waiting list. SIGN UP NOW AND BE THE WINNER IN YOUR FLIGHT!
Get a partner and be sure to sup up for the
second annual "Fallies" weekend Member/Member tournament. This will be a
fun tournament to close out the HLGA season. Sign up on ForeTees or in
the Pro Shop!
The HLGA would like to say thanks to our Pro
Shop staff: Dave, Brett, Lance, Nikki, and Mark for always running
top-notch tournament while having to juggle all their other duties and
always with a SMILE. to Joe and his crew for beautiful course conditions
to play on, and of course to our Chef and the Clubhouse staff for the
delicious food and awesome service!
